The Croatian Air Pollution Prevention Association (CAPPA) is a volunteer and non-profit association that gathers persons and legal entities based in the Republic of Croatia with the aim of protecting and promoting common professional interests in the field of air pollution protection. CAPPA\u2019s beginnings go back to the founding of the Yugoslav Air Protection Society in 1973 in Zagreb, following an initiative of Croatian experts, whereas its headquarters were in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Following the dissolution of Yugoslavia, from 1991 the Croatian component of the Society began functioning as an independent body. In 1993, the Croatian Air Protection Society changed its name to the one it bears today \u2013 the Croatian Air Pollution Prevention Association. The year before, Croatia became an independent country and a full member of the United Nations, whereas CAPPA joined the International Union of Air Pollution Prevention and Environmental Protection Associations (IUAPPA) at the World Congress in Montreal. The European Federation of Clean Air and Environmental Protection Associations (EFCA) was founded in 1997 and CAPPA has been its member since 1998. Ever since it was founded, CAPPA organized numerous professional meetings all over Croatia. In 1997, we introduced the first national meeting on air protection and since then, it has been held every two years. Together with IUAPPA, CAPPA also organized the 14th International Conference Air Quality \u2013 Assessment and Policy at Local, Regional and Global Scales@ in 2003 in Dubrovnik. The Association also organizes bi-annual professional seminars held abroad.\nMember of the EFCA: https:\/\/efca.net\/\n\nMember of IUAPPA: http:\/\/www.iuappa.org\/ 1993. <\/strong>The Croatian Air Protection Society changed its name to the name it still bears today Croatian Air Pollution Prevention Association<\/span><\/strong>. Croatia became an independent state in 1992, was admitted to the United Nations, and in the same year the Croatian Air Protection Association at the World Congress in Montreal, Canada, was admitted to International Union for Air Protection (IUAPPA)<\/span><\/strong> as a full member. European Clean Air Federation (EFCA)<\/span><\/strong> was founded in 1997, and our Association has been a member of EFCA since 1998. During its work, the Association has organized numerous professional meetings in various cities in Croatia. In 1997, it organized the first national meeting on air protection, and since then the meeting has been held regularly every two years. Together with IUAPPA, HUZZ was the organizer of the international conference \u201cThe 14th<\/sup> International Conference Air Quality - Assessment and Policy at Local, Regional and Global Scales @ in Dubrovnik in 2003. Also, every other year the Association organizes a professional seminar abroad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hrvatsko udru\u017eenje za za\u0161titu zraka (HUZZ) je dobrovoljna, neprofitna udruga koja okuplja fizi\u010dke i pravne osobe sa sjedi\u0161tem u Republici Hrvatskoj radi za\u0161tite i promicanja ciljeva zajedni\u010dkih strukovnih interesa s podru\u010dja za\u0161tite zraka od one\u010di\u0161\u0107ivanja. Po\u010deci rada HUZZ-a vezani su uz osnivanje Jugoslavenskog dru\u0161tva za \u010disto\u0107u zraka 1973. godine. Jugoslavensko dru\u0161tvo za \u010disto\u0107u vazduha osnovano je u Zagrebu na inicijativu hrvatskih stru\u010dnjaka iz tog podru\u010dja te je imalo sjedi\u0161te u Sarajevu, a \u010dlanice Dru\u0161tva bile su republi\u010dke sekcije.
